Paddle with the Dragon Divas
Grab a paddle and get ready to make waves! Join Firefly Sisterhood and the Dragon Divas at Lake Gervais to give Dragon Boat Racing a try! The fabulous Dragon Divas of Minneapolis are breast cancer survivors who prove that strength, joy, and a little splash go perfectly together. This is an exclusive event for the Firefly Sisterhood Community.
When: September 11th from 5:00-8pm
5:00 pm: Meet at Lake Gervais County Park, 2420 Edgerton St, Little Canada, MN 55117
6:00 – 7:00 pm: Paddle with the Dragon Divas!
7:00ish – 8:00 pm: Social time at the park
Things to bring:
- Your signed waiver. Please turn it in digitally or print it, sign it, and bring it along.
- Dragon Divas will provide life jackets, but you can bring your own if you prefer.
- Water bottle. Glass water bottles are not allowed. Metal water bottles should be placed in a sock (to keep it from banging around in the boat).
- Water shoes
- Bug spray / sunscreen
- Bring your own snacks
- Lawn chair (if you like)
- Towel and an extra change of clothes – just in case!
Keep in mind that this is a water sport! You might get wet if someone splashes their paddle, for example. It is very unlikely that these sturdy boats will tip; however, there’s a slight chance it could happen.
